‘This book is a must-read for any man who wants to be a great father to his children. The key points at the end of each chapter helped me to focus on what actions I need to take to become More Like the Father.’
Stephen, Melbourne –
Thanks for this, Robert. A brave book about celebrating fatherhood. I particularly liked the chapter on how fathers can show grace. Wonderfully written and extremely helpful.

More Like The Father is an essential read in today’s world. We never really get taught how to be a good Dad, we sort of try and make it up as we go. Given the importance of being a good dad to our families, communities, society as a whole and ourselves, this book provides us as guys a timely reminder, education and encouragement on being the best dad we can be. As someone with a good father role model, and now as a Dad myself, I have found the book extremely helpful while also challenging me to step up and be a better Dad. More Like the Father is full of real world examples, practical advice and suggestions on being a good Dad, while being relatable and an easy read throughout. I would encourage all dad’s to read this book and try to apply some of it’s suggestions; life will be better for it.

“We have known Robert and his lovely family for almost 20 years. I have seen first-hand how he has in practice applied the helpful principles he discusses in his book ‘More Like the Father’. He actually lives what he believes, which practical application confirms the authenticity for this work. A must read for all fathers!”
Brendan, Springwood –
Godly wisdom shared in an easy to read and encouraging way. It doesn’t matter where you are on your journey as a man, there are pearls of Godly wisdom from scripture and experience on every page. Invest a few hours in this book and you will have made a good investment.

Robert – you’ve undertaken a task that is only possible through personal experience and integrity – capturing the depth, height and breadth of a father’s heart and love for their child. I was surprised at the times I was caught off guard, momentarily emotionally struck, when reading a story that identified so clearly with that of my own father-daughter relationship. I may be over 40 years old now, but I am still my daddy’s girl. It is no small thing to me and your book is a refreshing reminder of the significant value and place our fathers have in our lives. Thank you Robert!

Refreshing to read a book where “good examples” of fathers is celebrated rather than often written about examples of dysfunction and brokenness. Fathers are pivotal and positively influence the life of a healthy flourishing family.
Great read- thanks Rob
Paul Sydney –

Sue Castle Hill –
I really enjoyed reading about so many positive father son relationships in a time when there are so many negative ones .
I was encouraged by Roberts openness in sharing from his own personal experience
A great book to give to any men in your life

If you’re a dad, then you need to get sorted. As you grew up, advice on fatherhood might have gone under the radar. And who polices fatherhood anyway ? You might have grown up bereft of a good role model and influence. But don’t just blame your dad – he might have had the same problem.
This book gently presents some pillars of how to be a loving father. Such content might not be presented in schools nowadays where our societal policies are laissez faire and offer little, clear direction. Robert’s stories are honest, relatable and underpinned with biblical references, and can help to cultivate a loving family.
